Matt Helm's legacy as a captain will always live on. He captained the side to the 2007 victory and well as playing a pivitol role in the 2010 victory also. Largely plying his trade as a centre-mid, he is adaptable in any position and leads by example.
Once described in our match programme as "strong fast, agile and skillful" (he wrote it himself). He once was famously pictued getting squashed in between 2 Athletico players (a picture used as the official poster photo for the next game), but he got his own back by hairwhipping opponents with his makeshift braids in a later fixture. Easily the most organized member of the team and a skipper who leads with a subtle example.
When not playing football Matt teaches music and plays in Red Sun Revival and Pretentious Moi.
